ARS Demonstration Programs in Java:

The following two ARS demonstration programs have been designed and implemented in Scheme before they have been ported to Java, to be able to offer them as applets over the internet.

Siegfried's Adventure Game:

This program is a graphical version of the adventure game introduced by Jacques Chazarain ( jmch@unice.fr ) in his excellent book on Scheme: Programmer Avec Scheme - De La Pratique A La Theorie (International Thompson Publishing France, 1996, ISBN 2-84180-131-4). The program is a demonstration of the object oriented programming paradigm. The graphical part utilizes only the
line-drawing and event-handling capabilities of the underlying system to implement the user interface including an operator panel.

Execution of 'Siegfried's Adventure Game':

The demo-program Siegfried's Adventure Game has been developed using the Java-Development-Kit in the year 1999. Unfortunately the program cannot be executed presently (in 2021) because the API in the Java-Virtual-Machine has changed since the 1999. The author of the program does not have the time to work on an update of the program because other higher priorities in his current life.

OntoSimula: Executable Model of the Basic Principles of Thomistic Metaphysics :

OntoSimula is a computer simulation program that models the fundamental concepts of metaphysics following St. Thomas Aquinas. The program uses DJ-Min as introduced above and  multithreading as offered by the underlying Java VM.. To obtain more details about the program follow the next link below:

Execution of 'OntoSimula':

The demo-program OntoSimula has been developed using the Java-Development-Kit in the year 2000. Unfortunately the demo-program cannot be executed presently (in 2021) because the API in the Java-Virtual-Machine has changed since the year 2000. The author of the program does not have the time to work on an update of the program because other higher priorities in his current life.
